Your Project

·         We’d like this to be on something you’ll feel proud to take away and show off about to other people/Agencies, which reflects how we approach Planning at AKQA (ie as a springboard to ‘inventing the future’)

·         For example, your starting point could be a real-life problem (long-distance relationships, people who are shy of talking to the opposite sex, etc), an interesting cultural meme or tech trend (something you think we could harness in some way for our Brands or as an Agency), an audience about whom not enough is known – and what you’d like to do in order to investigate this and present back results which will make a real impact on how AKQA might be able to innovate to change people’s lives for the better

·         We know this is a very baggy brief but we want to give you the space to think of something you’re really interested in where you can show us how your approach to things could make a difference

·         You’ll present this to an audience of top AKQA people – Planning Directors, Creative Directors, other heads of Department

Objectives and measurement:

·         50% performance – feedback from the Planners you’ve worked with AND on the project you’ve undertaken (process and approach as well as final presentation)

o    This will be based on a rating (1-5) on core Planning Competencies eg improvement in Knowledge, Research Skills, Effectiveness/Measurement know-how, Strategic Understanding and Creative Collaboration/Inspiration

·         50% potential – based on feedback from the Head of Strategy, relevant Planners and other AKQA people you’ve worked with

o    Again a rating (1-5) on measures like Energy/Proactivity, Curiosity/Questioning, Thinking (problem-solving, left/right brain, lateral thinking), Relationship Building, Inspiration etc
